Preferred Ingredients

Although you can throw together this cocktail with a mix of homemade and store bought supplies, we’ve found the best mix to be Tanteo Jalapeño Infused Tequila, Simply Watermelon juice, and fresh jalapeños and limes:

Of course if you want to do everything from scratch you can always infuse your tequila and press your own watermelon, but spare time is a hot commodity during the holidays and — trust us — this Tanteo tequila will make a great addition to your bar cart!

Let’s Get Mixing

Here’s what you’ll need for one serving:

  • 2 ounces jalapeño-infused tequila
  • 2 ounces watermelon juice
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • Optional garnishes: salt or sugar for the rim, sliced lime, jalapeño slices, and/or a watermelon wedge

4 steps to perfection:

  1. Prep: Salt or sugar the rim of your favorite cocktail glass and slice your garnishes
  2. Add tequila, watermelon and lime juices to your glass
  3. Stir
  4. Top your glass with ice and garnish like a pro! If you’re a spice-lover, don’t hesitate to toss a jalapeño slice (or two) into the glass.

Tada! You now have the secret to crafting the perfect Jalapeño Watermelon Margarita. But wait, there’s more! Let’s delve deeper into the process and share some expert tips to ensure your cocktail is spicy, refreshing, and utterly delicious.

Balancing Sweet and Spicy

Friend, you also need to be creative in the experiment of the perfect balance of sweet & spicy. You should not forget that this is the best feature of Jalapeño Watermelon Margarita, so here’s the deal… start with the base of jalapeño-infused tequila and watermelon juice, then add fresh lime juice to brighten the flavors and provide a tangy contrast. Taste as you go and adjust the ratios to suit your personal preference. If you prefer a sweeter cocktail, you can add a splash of simple syrup or agave nectar. Sweet drooling right? Here’s another:

Enhancing the Presentation

Presentation is the key when it comes to cocktails, and the Jalapeño Watermelon Margarita is no exception. Turn on your creativity by rimming the glass with salt or sugar for an added touch of flavor and visual. Slice garnishes— lime wedges, jalapeño slices, and watermelon wedges where you can add it to the presentation. Note that a cocktail should not only look impressive but also enhance the overall drinking experience – where sipping it makes you close your eyes and see beach sunsets and hear the gentle crash of waves.

Experimenting with Heat

Let’s talk about adding an extra kick to your Jalapeño Watermelon Margarita. Oh my, if you’re a spice enthusiast like me, you’ll love this part! Before you infuse the tequila with jalapeños, you can take it to the next level by muddling fresh jalapeño slices directly into the cocktail.  With this, it will surely bring bold, fiery flavor and leave your taste buds tingling with delight. You can adjust the amount of jalapeño to your preferred level of spiciness, and don’t forget to remove the seeds for a milder kick.

You are now ready to make the perfect margarita! It will leave you with delights and extra-happiness during beach dinners or celebrations. So go ahead, unleash your inner mixologist, and let your imagination run wild. Cheers to sweet, spicy, and oh-so-refreshing sips that transport you to your happy place, whether it’s a sun-drenched beach or a cozy backyard gathering with friends.
